Worked as expected. In fact it worked well enough that we bought a second one to remote another TV in a different room. Initially concerned about the low number of reviews, but went ahead and took the risk. You should too. r

I had an IOGear unit for almost five years and it suddenly stopped working. I replaced it with this unit.It is truly a plug n play device and the picture quality is excellent. I am feeding it through a Roku on my main TV with a secondary TV in the kitchen, not very far away. But at first, when both TVs were, on I had to mute the 2nd TV because it might as well have been on another channel for as un-synced as the sound was. With the IOGear the sound was perfectly synced and you could not even tell another TV was on. Since it came synced from the factory I put up with it for a while. Then I went ahead and did the sync myself and that helped immensely. Now the 2nd TV is more like an echo. Just a split second difference from the sound on my primary TV.Over all I'm pretty happy with it. It's nice having it work without a remote or really anything required from the user.

For reference, my two units are about 5 feet apart and separated by an interior wall. Out of the box setup was easy and everything seemed to work okay. But when watching the receiver TV, I would lose the audio when ever I interrupted the signal by changing channels, pausing the program, or switching to a DVR program. The only way I could restore the audio was by turning the unit off and then back on. This would take about 2 minutes and be very annoying. Additionaly, after watching a single channel continuously for 30 minutes or so the audio would just completely shut off and again I would have to turn everything off and back on in order to restart the audio. The company suggested that the units might be to close together, but the advertised max range is only 30 feet so that leaves a very small window. I did move the transmitter to a different Dish box in the house that was about 20 feet away from the receiver, but this made the video distorted and unwatchable. I also tried different HDMI cables but this also did not improve the situation. Amazon sent me a new unit after I reported this, but sad to say there was no improvement with the audio part of the system. As long as I don’t change channels or interrupt the signal in any way everything is fine. But for me whats the purpose of a TV video/audio trans-receiver if you cant change channels. My previous unit (a different brand) work perfectly for about 5 years until it just quit and I replaced it with this unit. Very disappointed and I will be buying another unit from another manufacturer.

This is light years ahead of my old composite 5ghz video sender .... it supported 2 receivers & the audio latency was acceptable, but at the end of the day, the video quality sucked. And if anything got in the path (people, dogs, chairs) , the signal dropped out.The WS55 takes a little longer to start up (2-4 seconds or so, if the HDMI input signal was off ... during this period the blue Nyrius splash screen is up ), but the digital audio & video are rock solid & the audio latency doesn't irritate. Synchronization between the 2 receivers is good & standing in front of a receiver doesn't cause drop outs (my RXs & TX are about 15 feet apart). It also runs much cooler than my old units.So.... is it perfect? No. Is it better than pulling wire .... Yes. And the price doesn't break the bank like some options out there. And with all of the A/V goodies out there, it is very easy to integrate into an older A/V receiver that may not support audio thru the HDMI ports. I picked up an Amazon Basics audio extractor, an HDMI switch (my receiver only has 2 HDMI inputs) and now my Sat Box, Fire Stick, and Blu Ray player are all happy....

When it works it’s good but I either have to unplug and restart the unit. Turn off and on one of the TVs or it just comes in delayed or pixelated. I probably have to trouble shoot it 59% of the time to get it working.

Product works as described. There is a lot of latency with the remote. As well the picture freezes a bit. Very good idea but the technology is not great.

These work great! Use them in my motorhome for the front to back Tvs. There is a slight delay but it is not noticeable if you have the sound on one tv only. Remember they will not work to relay video from a smart tv to another one. You would need a video out signal for that. I just use these for DVD'S.

This wireless HDMI video transmitter was easy to set up and worked great right out of the box. I use it in a small conference room for screen sharing from laptops that don't have Miracast capabilities to a large LED TV. There is a noticeable lag of about half a second, so it would not be good for things that needed real-time interaction. It is great for Powerpoint presentations or videos. The picture and sound quality is very good with no jerky shuddering or cut-outs.
