We purchased this product in order to do interactive present 0 people found this helpfulWe purchased this product in order to do interactive presentations, specifically from a laptop wireiessly to a large screen TV. We tried some other devices, but the latency in them was too high. This device performed well, even hiding the receiver behind the TV. There was no software to install, making it easy for a variety of users. The only minor issue we had was: 1) On one of our laptops, the USB port is directly to the right of the HDMI port where this plugs in. The usb power to this device plugs in on the right hand side, which rendered that USB port un-usable. Due to the limited number of ports, on that laptop, we could not use an external USB presentation device to click slideshows. It is easy to set up, up and running within five minutes, excellent still picture quality and good video picture quality, only a few break ups / lines from time to time. I first tried the Netgear Push2TV, it worked right out of the box with my Kindle, however the video quality was very poor. I could never get it to work with my laptop, I spent hours trying to get it to work with no success, finally just gave up and sent it back. I then tried the Diamond Multimedia WPCTVPRO, this unit was very easy to set up, still picture quality was excellent, video quality was ok, but had lots of delay and pixilation. It then quit working after about an hour and I could never get it going again, gave up and sent it back as well. Then I saw the Nyrius, it was kind of pricy compared to the Netgear and Diamond, but it works great. Set up is plug and play (unlike Netgear) and picture quality is very good. I purchased the Aries Pro to stream content from my HTPC (cl 0 people found this helpfulI purchased the Aries Pro to stream content from my HTPC (closet) to my projector (bedroom). I am only streaming about 15 feet through one wall, but I have not had one hiccup in the connection. I had two content sources that I wanted to stream to the projector, so by adding a 2 in x 1 out hdmi splitter, I was able to do so. I plugged it in and it worked like a charm. I didn't have to do any setup like I did on some other wireless hdmi boxes. The small size is great.
