I have a Denon receiver with an external 30 pin iPod connector. Previously I used some older iPod we had laying around for tunes. The Denon's interface is embarrassingly dot matrix and non-intuitive. This device plugged right in and I paired my new Sony Xperia Z2. Worked right away and now I can control the music from across the room with my phone (volume and song selection). Calls come in and the phone stops the music and I take on the handset. Once I hang up the music resumes on the stereo. Sound quality is actually pretty good too. A nice bonus. First, I'd like to thank Apple for obsoleting every 30 pin d 0 people found this helpfulFirst, I'd like to thank Apple for obsoleting every 30 pin device and cable that people might have when they came out with the latest "i" devices. *insert eye roll here* I have a Bose docks that allows me to plug my iPod in and use the speakers while it's charging my device. Everything worked great until Apple decided that my new IPod wouldn't work with my old Bose dock (thanks again Apple). I got this device through a deal I found on CNet Cheapskate - it was only $10 here on Amazon. Worth every penny! I simply plugged it into my Bose, paired it to my iPod and I was done. Because the iPod doesn't plug directly into the Bose I can't charge it that way but that's OK; beats having to buy a new dock. I've been as far as 20-25 feet away from this device with my iPod in my pocket and I could still hear the music so it has a pretty nice range. i took a chance on this bluetooth adapter because it popped 0 people found this helpfuli took a chance on this bluetooth adapter because it popped up on a facebook page for a speaker company i follow and nevr looked back. i have expensive 30pin ipod docks that were being left unused because of newer bluetooth docks i recently purchased. but with this device those docks were brought back to life and not just with ipods as they were originally intended to be used with but with anything with a bluetooth signal. setup and install was a no brainer, plug in to the 30 pin connector and look for the device in your bluetooth player menu and pair up. sound was great, I'd say CD quality sound. just make sure that you are using this with docks that can charge your ipod or else they wont have the juice to power on the adapter when attached. - Verified purchase from Nyrius trusted store. -
